Apple has confirmed that the recent overheating issue on the iPhone 15 Pro is not a design defect but a bug in iOS 17
The new iPhone's titanium and aluminum components are effectively
dissipating heat, indicating that the frame is not the cause of the
fever.
Actual Cause: Apps Overloading the System
The editor-in-chief of iPhonedo revealed that apps like
Instagram, Asphalt 9, and Uber, which are utilizing the A17 Pro chip's
CPU, Apple has partnered with developers, and Instagram has already
released an update.
Apple assures that the iOS 17 upgrade won't cause the iPhone to freeze and
that the 15 Pro and Pro Max are compatible with any USB-C converter;
however, the company advises against using a 20W+ charger.
Cooling Strategies: What Can You Do?
Try using Low Power Mode, protecting your iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max from
direct sunlight, and controlling the background app refresh settings if your
device is experiencing extreme heat.
